when I think about these past few weeks,u could say that I’ve experienced so much blessing lately.like what u say? well,here goes another 1 of ‘those’ stories..^^
last month, I signed up for a specific course which is highly recommended for ICU doctors…ok,if u think I signed up just 2 get closer 2 him,well..guess again..I signed up coz first of all, I’m also interested & a little bit curious about wth was he talking about all this time when we were having a discussion,he3x..2nd of all,a friend of mine also happened 2 join in,so I won’t be going there all alone w/o knowing anyone. I planned on not going 2 tell him that I’d signed up,coz I wanted 2 c his expression again when he discovered my ‘secret’,he3x.. I just luv watching that expression of his.. ;P
unfortunately,my boss already reveal it 2 him way b4 I got my sertificate.but she also told me that he was surprised to learned that I’m in it too.that night,after she told me that he already knew about it,I happened 2b on duty at the hospital.there was a new patient in the icu,so I had 2 check up on it.not long after I sat in there,he came in w/ his face grinning & gave me a teasing smile.I was in a bad mood that day coz of a reason related to that working place,so I didn’t smile back at him.instead, I just said hi with a flat expressionless face,then turned my face again at the patient’s status. he sat down on a chair beside me, ignored my expressionless face & said,”hmmm,so u’ve already signed up for that course then,huh?”,still w/ a smile on his face. at this point, I kinda regret why my boss already told him in the 1st place,when I specifically already asked her not to tell him anything about it (of course, I didn’t tell her the reason behind it, even though she asked why.. ^^ ). anyway, I wasn’t going 2 to let the moment slip away, so I tried to maintain my expression w/o giving away even a subtle smile (which is hard 2 d, btw.. >…<
don't know why or how, in a matter of days,a rumor has spread between us doc's (plus some nurses), that we'd fit as a couple.hearing that,deep down inside,I felt like screaming,''yay!!finally,somebody notice my efforts all this year''.but now the question is,will he notice for himself? how come all of the sudden everybody around us seems to know about it,but not him?
..but then again, when u think about it..lately,he did seem to pay a lot more attention to me, especially after that gathering event. he supports me on going through this course, he cared about my future well-being (as a doctor anyway),he showed interest in what I'm doing & achieving at work.it's those little things that makes me wonder whether he's also feeling the same way as I do. yesterday,he even skip an op some place & came all the way to where I was on duty the day before, just to asked me what more would I want to know before next weeks course. well,actually from what I've heard from the boss,he was the one calling her that morning to asked whether she's busy that day.if not,he was thinking about giving another lesson for us before next week's course.she manage to ask him whether he's got an op or not some place.actually,he said he did have a job,but he wouldn't mind skipping it coz he wanted to 'relax & play' at her work place. I told her,''what is he thinking? does he think that this place is just another 'playground' for him?''. she just laughed at it & then said,''do u know? he also asked who else is there at this time of work.I told him,those GP's on duty,of course.then he asked,is eve there? I told him,of course she is.she's on duty last night,doc.who else is there,he asked. there are others like b,t, but m isn't present. then he told me that he'll be here this morning.that's it''.hearing this,actually made me more curious. is he really the one asking about me first or was it just her playing with me.while I was thinking about it,she said,''maybe he's got another agenda perhaps..",with a grin on her face. looking at her, I pretended 2 play dumb & asked her,''what do u mean by that?''.she said,''well..dunno,but it's ok if he's got other 'plans' for u''. I couldn't say anything about it, but just give her a little smile… 😉
when he actually came, he came by the ER & saw me standing there.he didn't immediately went in,though.I happened to heard the door being opened & as I turned my head around, there he was. smiling like always,he winked at me & I pretended that I was surprised. as he came by, guess what's the 1st thing that came straight out from my mouth?? .. I asked him,''doc,don't u have an op somewhere?what r u doing here?''. sounded like I'm grounding a little kid or something, does it? ha8x XDD.. he looked startled at first,before saying,''nah.I've got nothing on my schedule this morning''.then I asked him again about another op at the other branch. he said that there is going 2b an op there,but he gave it to someone else instead. one of our dentist's kid got his arm broken,so it was an orthopedic op.deep down inside, I asked myself,''isn't that supposed to be a big op?u know,where u got the big bucks & all?so, wth is he doing here?surely,it's not because I happened to be there,right?..or is it?..''. besides that, he also told me that there's not much patient there. as hard as I tried to keep myself from thinking about it, I just couldn't help myself. he's argument about the sum of patients there didn't have anything to do with his line of work. he's been working at other places with less patients before, I know that for sure. and he's not complaining about it. so why this one? klo gw mo gr sh, I'd thought that maybe..just maybe..that he's been acting like that 2 please me,hi3x.. ^^ u know, from the story I told u b4? where I 'hate' being left out from that branch…but of course, that's just me assuming he felt anything 4 me,he3x..;)
the ER was packed yesterday w/ a lot of newcomers.he talked with them,& tried a simulation test on us (which I immediately got my way out by saying that it's my friends turn on duty that day,not me, ha8x..). thank goodness he agreed on that term,ha8x.. 😀 just for a few minutes,though.then, we were all relaxing again. before it's time to pray, he also asked me again when exactly it's gonna be held. he also asked about what I may want to know about next week's course. I told him that I guess he already explained enough about all of it. then he said,''I did,did I? then I guess u'r ready for it.u've already read it all,haven't u?'',with a grin on his face. I didn't say anything & just smiled back at him. then my boss finally came & asked what is he planning on lecturing that day. he said some topic that I've already been into,so I told him,''doc,since I've already saw it,can I go home now?I haven't gone home for days,u know''.''why?r u on duty now or off?'', he asked. I told him I was on duty last night & that day was my day off. he said ok & added that I'm clever about it. I know I should say thanks for his compliment, but instead I just make a joke about it. and how can I? I'm so full of myself at that moment, that I just turn my face red with his compliment. and a way to hide it is to just relax & make a joke about it. finally,before he left & went outside, I told him again that I'd be leaving home. he said ok. a moment later,as he was opening the door out,he called my name & said good luck to me. u can't possibly imagine how that makes me feel yesterday. even now I still felt that goosebumps in my heart ^_^ that surely makes me day after all the hard work i've been doing these past few days..on top of that,I manage to ask him pray 4 me for next week's course..it makes me wanna push myself even more harder now..I sure hope that after all of this, me & him can be more than just friends.. Amin !! 😉
